Absence, Holidays and Sickness
At Pebworth we recognise that regular attendance is vitally important as a pupil's absence during term time can seriously disrupt their continuity of learning
The law is quite definite that it is the legal responsibility of a parent to ensure that children of compulsory school age receive full-time education. They are responsible for ensuring that children attend school and stay at school. Parents are required to ensure their child arrives on time, and in a condition to learn. Regular attendance can only be sustained with the support of both parents and school and close cooperation and liaison must be the cornerstone of a successful policy.
Pebworth First School has a very good attendance record and the Governing Body is responsible for setting an attendance figure. Currently our figure is 96.4%.
