Governors

We are supported by a dedicated and hard-working team of governors. The governors are drawn from a variety of sources and a significant number are parents of children at the school. The governors oversee the work of the school and the body as a whole acts as a critical friend. Governors are responsible for ensuring that the school plans properly (educationally, financially and for the premises), that the performance management of staff takes place and for many policies and aspects of legislation. Governors would also deal with any complaint that the Headteacher was unable to resolve.

In reality, the governors of Pebworth First School do much more than this and they are often involved directly in classrooms and school trips!
