History
Through our study of the past we understand our present position in the World. This helps us to make informed decisions about our future. In history we aim to allow children to experience research and understand events.
Through a variety of skills, the pupils are encouraged to:

Appreciate that people behave in a variety of ways.
Explore key events in the past and their effect on people today.
Develop empathy for different societies and understand how they have come into being.
Apply thoughtful explanations, perspectives to events in the past.
Understand that change occurs in a number of ways.
