Science
Science in our school is based around the study of the physical and biological world. We encourage the children to:
Observe, measure, record, hypothesise and assimilate the scientific concepts, which help us to understand how our world operates.
Link concepts to their own experience and life.
Ask questions about the world around them.
Make comparisons and identify patterns and trends.
Consider evidence and evaluate its reliability.
We believe that it is by 'doing' that children learn, not just by reading about or researching. This tenet runs throughout whichever topic we are studying.
